I have made this skirt twice and I love this video. But I always get bumps in seam where the pleated skirt meets the top yoke. Any ideas how I could fix it??

I wish I could give you a hug! 💛💛💛 I love your videos and I love every project you make, including the ones in this video that didn’t turn out as you hoped. I love hearing you speak (your accent is lovely and your English is better than you give yourself credit for) and I love seeing your face (with or without makeup) and you make my days better with your art. Depression and burnout are fierce monsters, and I hope you feel better soon. Sending so many virtual hugs 💕

"beginner friendly", Ha! I started by trying to copy an expensive dress I saw in a shop window, made out of a polyester curtain material. It looks terrible! I made so many mistakes! But I learned so much, and the fabric was cheap.

Sort of beginner sewing project ideas I've enjoyed -Pot holders, square one with and without a pocket -Making my jeans pockets longer with scrap fabric (VERY satisfying) -a warm jacket for my friends dogs that was traced from their rain coat. I used big snaps and elastic for the attachment points!

The blue material that is used for the yoke of the Star Trek sweaters looks like it could be a blue knit polyester jacquard; a google search reinforced my suspicion. I have to admit it does look a little leather-like in the reference picture. X

I like this video concept! Its nice to hear about all of the ideas and projects from different people. And maybe i will sind in a question to, if i inevitably come to a point in a project where i have to decide something difficult. Usually I procrastinate those choices for way to long.

"It doesn't matter, we are all going to die anyways" I need this on a T-shirt! Thank you so much for this video. I know this wasn't easy to put out in the world. As a fellow UA-camr, and just a creator in general, it was so refreshing to see this. We all have our failures but it's not something most creators share so we think that they are just amazing and are doing it right and why can't I just be more like them, and it turns into this ugly pressure we put on ourselves to do better and be perfect. but it's not realistic and leads to more disappointment in ourselves. For what it's worth, I think you are so funny, and absolutely fantastic, and so very creative, and watching your videos inspires me!

There is a fine line between hoarding and collecting.....Organizing your Madness is key, finding a way to showcase some of your vintage finds or the prettier items like a "Cabinet of curiosity" corner might help. Thrifting, auctions, flea markets and garage sales are a good place to look for things I swear by boxes baskets and cabinets with shelves and drawers, lots of drawers! You can do matchy matchy and random awesomness decor with this method of storage and it doesn't have to be expensive. I started with old plastic Milk crates, from behind the local grocery, in my "poor student days" and graduated to proper book shelves. Later when i could afford it, i would get a nice looking box to put small things in, gradually over time. Don't forget to label your treasures! So you don't inadvertently cast the modern wicca spell of disappearance! "I put it in a safe place"..........

That pattern storage idea is genius! I have a couple of bookshelves with bins for craft storage and currently have a small bin with patterns, but i have just been shoving my homemade patterns in with my commercial patterns and it's definitely not sustainable :P I will have to shift over to your method!!

I invested in under the bed storage containers. Under your bed is there is so much wasted space. I found these plastic containers with wheels that fit under the bed and it’s the perfect place to store fabric and flat things like my large ruler and cutting mat.

Starting a project before having a step by step in your mind can lead your mind to look at it as potentially wasting precious hours, and the suggestion for starting with testing is very useful in that regard - one actually start, and testing is a low pressure activity to get the gears going and helps figure out hidden needed future steps!!

7:25 I dyed some neoprene recently. I used Rit's Dyemore and the neoprene soaked up the dye like crazy, so use more than you would think. Yes, I did do it in a pot I only use for dye on the stove. Also, the neoprene soaks up a toooon of water. 8:25 I love it. I'd be funny seeing reactions in a high tourist area like Paris for people to judge you thinking you're a tourist, but are in reality actually French 😆. Also it looks amazing

We were into latch hook in the early 70s. Mom designed and made an Oriental inspired small rug (3' x 5'). I don't remember how long it took her. I do remember a stall at the binding and finishing when Dad took over. Dad's parents had made braided rugs for years for them and family. Mom's rug was gorgeous and lush under the feet.
